Finally, a complete week dedicated to cooking ... the La Serrania way. Over the past 12 years of running workshops we have developed our very own style of dealing with food: fresh local ingredients, easy to follow, no-fuss preparation with surprising combinations that reflect the traditions and cultures of the mediterranean as well as being completely of our time. We love to use vegetables, but think that vegetarian is maybe a term too narrow to describe our philosophy, so fish, chicken, and lamb are also on the agenda. Spices and herbs are quintessential, as is a balanced, harmonious combination of dishes in a dinner menu. We will be embarking on a cooking tour of the Mediterranean, with dishes such as Catalan fish stew, lamb tagine, spinach cannelloni, gazpacho and tortilla on the agenda... to name just a few. One evening will be dedicated to learning the basics of "raw food" and Ayurvedic cooking, two philosophies that complement our way of looking at food. There will be 5 cooking classes, 1 lunch and 4 dinners, where you are invited to roll up your sleeves and chop along, or just sit with a glass of wine and take notes... the choice is yours. We will also be visiting 2 of Mallorca´s most beautiful open air markets, a local winery, and will take a gentle walk and pic-nic at the seaside. All meals are included. |
