Many of us are drawn to yoga as a means for relieving discomfort in the physical body or to find a more peaceful inner connection to ourselves in the midst of a hectic life. We naturally pour time and attention into careers and toward our families and loved ones. While this is both important and appropriate, our own being also deserves such attention, love, and focus. 
 
Yoga practice is often described as a double-edged sword. On the one hand, while we’re ‘stirring the pot’ in the yoga room, we can find ourselves in discomfort, physically, mentally, and emotionally. At the same time, yoga develops steadiness and calm, awareness, clarity, and detachment. What begins as exercise eventually leads us into a deeper love and appreciation of ourselves and our true nature, the inner self. Yoga clearly becomes a practice of self-love. In this weeklong retreat we will hold this awareness and intention in our practice." 
 
Each day will begin with meditation and pranayama, followed by a midmorning active yoga practice. Each afternoon will be a calming practice of twists, forward bends, and restorative poses. 
 
Everyone is welcome.....

 

 


Our basic schedule will be
             

    7:00 - 8:30 a.m.: Pranayama and Meditation 

  10:15 - 12:45 a.m.: Active Morning Practice

   1:00 p.m: Lunch/La comida

   5:00 - 6:30 p.m.: Afternoon Restorative, Forward bends and Twists

   7:30 p.m.: Dinner/Cena
